First Line Friday is a weekly feature that I now love to take part in.
It is hosted by Wandering Words.
What if, instead of judging a book by its cover or by its author, we judged the book by its opening lines?
Here is how it works:
– Pick a book off your shelf and open to the first page.
– Copy the first few lines without giving the book away.
– Reveal the book
Here we go!
“Wait — did you — You just yawned!” The vampires arms were raised over his head in the classic Dracula pose, dropped to his sides. He pulled his exaggerated white fangs back behind his lips. “What, imminent death isn’t exciting enough for you?”
“Oh, stop pouting. But, really, the widow’s peak? The pale skin? The black cape? Where did you even get that thing, a costume store?”

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
This is one of my favourites and if you haven’t read it yet, then you must check it out!
This is so fun! I might have to do it myself!
